Lesson 1

Good morning! 

Today you will be planning your diary entry. 

Imagine you are in Pompeii in 79AD, writing a diary entry about your experience. This will help plan your diary entry so you won't have to think on the spot when writing your actual diary. Make sure to:

• Read the Teacher Note Slides
• Write in note form using bullet points - examples have been given to help you.
• Click "Turn in" when you are done :)

Lesson 2

Good morning, today you will be writing your first paragraph about the Mount Vesuvius eruption at 11am. Use your planning notes and the slides to help you write your paragraph.

• Use the vocabulary you have been learning.
• Include what you could hear/smell/see/taste/feel.
• Include Adjectives.

   

Lesson 3

Good morning, today you will be writing your second paragraph as if you saw the Mount Vesuvius eruption after 1pm on 24th August 79AD.

 

Choose your challenge:

Mild - Use the word mat to change the coloured words in the sentences.

Hot - Use the word mat to continue the paragraph. Remember, you are only writing the 2nd paragraph.

Today you will be practicing your spelling and grammar using the quiz powerpoint.

You can write your answers on the word document or write them on paper and upload the pictures to Teams :)
