Have fun doing all the learning - but don't forget to ask your grown up to post photos of you doing the activities on your Tapestry Page.

Going on a Bear Hunt

Going on a Bear Hunt 1
This Week we are going to be starting our Summer Term Topic - Tremendous Travel. We are going to start by exploring the easiest form of transport - our feet and walking. Our story focus is Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. Mrs Harper is reading this on the bedtime stories on our school website.

'We're not scared'

What scares you? Lots of children are feeling scared and anxious at the moment - Talk to your child about what scares them and then think of all the things you can do or say to each other that will help you to not be so scared.

Communication and Language

'Going on a Bear Hunt' has lots of onomatopoeic words in it. These are words that sound like the thing they describe like 'swishy swashy' - can you make up some words that describe sounds you hear on your walk and in your home? What sound does your washing machine make? What sound does a car make?

Physical Development

While you are on your daily walk can you pretend to go through the places like the children in the story?

Mrs Roscoe is going to post a video of 'The Great Space Race' too for you to do at home if it's raining!

Understanding the World

Understanding the World 1
Use the internet with a grown up to find out about the different types of shoes people wear around the world. What are they made from? Would you like to wear them?
