Have fun with your learning and don't forget to post your home learning on your Tapestry page. We do really love to see what you all have been up to. Keep up all your hard work.
This week we are continuing to learn about types of travelling for our learning project Tremendous Travel.
The next form of transport we will be learning about is very exciting… Hot Air Balloons!
This week we would like you to think about having a healthy body.
Think about how we can be healthy?
Why do we exercise and why is it important to exercise?
What happens to your body when you exercise? Does anything change?
Quick experiment: jump up and down as quickly as they can for one minute.
What do you notice? Has anything changed?
What is your favourite sport to play and why?
Imagine you are going on a special adventure. You are going to travel to your destination by hot air balloon. Where would you like to travel to?
What will you pack? Who will travel with you?
Talk to someone in your family about your ideas.
For this activity all you will need is a clear space and a dice.
Write numbers on the ground with chalk. Ask your child to hit a number with the water balloons.
What is the same about the hot air balloons and what is different? How many different shapes can you find in the picture?
Play the game 'Balloon Keep up' with your family. Who can keep the balloon up for the longest?
Can you count how many times you pass the balloon?
Design and make your own hot air balloon basket. Which material do you think will be the best? Paper, cardboard, plastic? Sticks?
How many passengers can stand in the basket?
Have a go at making your very own hot air balloon. Have fun making your creation and don't forget to upload your picture to Tapestry.
Can you spot the difference between the two pictures?
