Autumn 2 Global Citizen (USA)

In Autumn 2, our Topic has been Global Citizen and Year 4 has been learning about the USA

In English, we read ‘Indian in the Cupboard’ by Lynne Reid Banks. We found out that she was one of the first female television journalist and has written over 40 books.

We used this story to help us write a fictional diary. We imagined that a toy of ours had magically come to life after it had been locked in a cupboard. We had to remember to write in chronological order and use fronted adverbials.

This half term, in maths, we have been investigating different units of measurement. Which unit would be better to measure an ant in?

Our science topic was electricity. We investigated appliances, staying safe with electricity and circuits. Look at the website - ‘Switched on Kids’ http://www.switchedonkids.org.uk/electrical-safety-in-your-home
