The Owls really enjoyed their visit to Berry Farm. We had a tractor ride, saw some sheep and Cows and picked some vegetables. We brought some vegetables back to school with us and we made some vegetable soup. The children really loved cutting up the vegetables and cooking it in the soup maker. It came out a lovely burgundy colour because of the beetroot.

Summer Term 1

Our topic this half term is 'When I grow up what will I be?' within this topic we will be curious learners exploring a range of professions and their job roles. We will be particularly focusing on people within the community that help us.

Our sparkling start this half term is going to be a visit from The Road Safety Team.

Ann the road safety lady taught us how to cross the road safely. we made road safety instructions and videos from this experience.

The children had a visit from a female PCSO for our marvellous middle. the children found out how the police help us in the community and we had fun trying on all the different styles of hats.

From this experience the children wrote 999 posters, accident forms and wanted posters.

Tash had a birthday party in our classroom at the weekend with all the fairy-tale characters, but someone stole the birthday cake! we had to investigate the crime scene to find clues of who it could be. we wrote letters to Tash to tell her our findings.
