For the second half of the Spring term we looked at where we live. We started by looking at maps of the World and then focused in on the UK and finally on Lowestoft itself.
We learned about the different continents before focusing on the United Kingdom and learning about some of the main cities and areas. We found out about where some different towns and cities got their names and then learned about why Lowestoft is located where it is.
We went on to learn about famous people from Lowestoft. We discovered the story of Thomas Crisp, a local trawler captain who sunk a German U-boat in WW1 and was awarded the Victoria Cross!
