Art and Design
At St. Margaret’s Primary Academy, our Art and Design curriculum is designed to inspire creativity while developing key artistic skills and vocabulary. Through a carefully sequenced curriculum, children explore a wide range of artists, designers, and art forms from Britain and around the world. Pupils learn to use different materials and techniques with confidence and develop an understanding of how art reflects ideas, cultures, and experiences. They also learn how art and design have changed over time and about the diversity of artistic traditions, encouraging them to express their own ideas and develop a lifelong enjoyment of art.
