Design Technology
At St. Margaret’s Primary Academy, we ensure all pupils build substantive knowledge of materials and components while mastering the disciplinary skills of a designer. Using our CUSP-aligned curriculum, children learn how design and engineering solve real-world problems and adapt to our changing world.
Pupils gain a deep understanding of the design-make-evaluate cycle. By studying high-quality prototypes and practicing analytical evaluation, they explore technological advances and the impact of design on society. Through vocabulary-rich learning and deliberate practice, our pupils learn to articulate their design choices and refine their technical skills with confidence.
