What we will be learning in Nursery

This term in Nursery our topic is ‘Wonderful waves’. We are looking at the beach and sea! We are so lucky to live by the sea and can have lots of lovely experiences. We are reading lots of books about sea creature adventures and the beach. If you have your very own investigations at home, please share them on tapestry for us to see! We will be learning about where we live and what we like to do in Lowestoft. Please see our knowledge organiser below:

In Maths we will be consolidating our number skills in counting and number recognition. It would be great if you could practise counting 1-10 with your children at home so that they can continue to develop their learning at home too.

Home Learning

We expect children to read a minimum of 3 times a week; this should be logged on boom reader. If you need support with boom reader, please speak to a member of staff.

In Early Years, we use Tapestry, this is a Learning Journal where you will be able to see what your child has been up to at school. We encourage you to contribute to your child's learning journal, we love the opportunity to see what the children have been up to at home and share this with the class. From time to time, we will upload 'Champion Challenges' for your child, these relate to your child's next steps in their learning.
