What we will be learning in Nursery
What a wonderful start to the year with some familiar faces joining us back in Nursery as well as some new faces too! This half term our topic is Marvellous Me. The children will be exploring what emotions are and what makes us feel a certain way. We will be learning all about them as individuals and what makes them special, including their families, where they live, their likes and dislikes and what they look like. We will be settling into Nursery by learning new routines and the school values which will help to keep us safe and ready to learn. Finally, we will be exploring the weather, how to dress for that weather and explore how outside changes as the season changes to autumn.
Home Learning
We expect children to read a minimum of 3 times a week; this should be logged on boom reader. If you need support with boom reader, please speak to a member of staff.
In Early Years, we use Tapestry, this is a Learning Journal where you will be able to see what your child has been up to at school. We encourage you to contribute to your child's learning journal, we love the opportunity to see what the children have been up to at home and share this with the class. From time to time, we will upload 'Champion Challenges' for your child, these relate to your child's next steps in their learning.
