What we are learning in Nursery
This half term our topic is 'Glorious Growing' as we move into the warm months the children learn all about different things that grow. We will start the half term with an exciting delivery of caterpillars, where over the next few weeks we will watch how the caterpillars change, getting bigger as the eat more food, create their chrysalis and transform into beautiful butterflies. During this process the children will also think about how it's important to look after our environment including mini-beasts and how we can do that at school. We will learn about the importance of farms and all the hard work farmers do, growing vegetables and looking after farm animals. The children will have the opportunity to grow some vegetables and think about healthy and unhealthy choices. When we look at 'Handa's Surprise' Nursery will be try some exotic fruits! As well as all the learning within Nursery, the children will have enormous fun at Forest School where there are bugs galore! Hopefully the weather will be on our side, and the children will have the opportunity to watch our environment change as the season does.
