What we are learning in Nursery
What a wonderful start to the year with some familiar faces joining us back in Nursery as well as some new faces too! This half term our topic is Marvellous Me. This term we are learning our classroom routines as we are new to our school, together we will make our classroom rules and start learning together. The children will be exploring what emotions are and what makes us feel a certain way. We will be exploring traditional tales such as the three little pigs and goldilocks and the three bears. We will be focusing on strengthening our hands by using tweezers, scissors and playdough. We will be learning all about them as individuals and what makes them special, including their families, where they live, their likes and dislikes and what they look like. Finally, we will be exploring the weather, how to dress for that weather and explore how outside changes as the season changes to autumn.
