The Department for Education’s white paper ‘Opportunity for all: strong schools with great teachers for your child’ sets an expectation that all state-funded mainstream schools will deliver a minimum length of school week of 32.5 hours as soon as they can, and from September 2023 at the latest. St Margaret’s Primary Academy meets this requirement by operating a 6 hours 45 minutes school day for 190 days of the year, with a 33 hours 45 minutes school week, except for weeks with INSET days or bank holidays. 

Our School Day 

08:30am - Our school day begins at 08:30am for all year groups.  

8.40am- Registers close  

08:40am - 09:00am - Children are late between 08:40am and 09:00am. 

09:00am - For children arriving after 09:00am, this is marked as an unauthorised absence. 

3.15pm - The school day ends at 3.15pm for all pupils apart from Afternoon Nursery which ends at 3.20pm.
